Recurring Evening Courses

Glass on Glass Mosaic

Microwave kilns are an affordable introduction to glass fusing. Learn the basics and gain the confidence to continue at home.

  • Cancellation policy
    For cancellations made more than 7 days in advance, a full refund will be given. Between 7 and 2 days, a half refund will be given unless a replacement can be found from the waiting list in which case a full refund will be given. 2 days or less and no refund will be given.

    In the case of a course being cancelled by Jillsglas, a full refund will be given. We reserve the right to cancel a course if there are insufficient participants.

  • Who are Stained Glass classes for?
    All that is needed is a desire to explore the art of stained glass and the ability to stand at a workbench. Good hand dexterity is an advantage.

    Due to the nature of the course involving breaking glass, chemicals and heated solder, the minimum age for stained glass courses is 16 years. As it involves working with lead, the course is also unsuitable for people who are pregnant or breastfeeding.

    Day workshops: These are ideal for beginners and refreshers who want to learn or progress their skills on a smaller project and take home a finished project at the end of the day. A choice of patterns is provided for participants as we know that these are suitable for the time available.

    Evening courses: For beginners or those who have attended a day course in leaded or Tiffany glass and wish to complete projects of their own choosing or of a larger size. The cost of materials is not included and are priced separately as costs vary depending on the size of project and type of glass chosen. Class sizes are limited to 6.

  • What do I need to bring?
    Tuition, safety equipment and all tools and materials are provided - just bring your enthusiasm. Please wear sturdy shoes (no open toes) and old clothes.

  • Lunch
    Lunch can be purchased in Vällengby Centrum and a microwave, fridge and kettle are available on the day.

  • Workshop times
    Workshop times are 10:00 - 16:00 although they may overrun depending on progress.

  • Where are we?
    We are on floor 1 of ABC Studio in Vällingby (lift available). This is a short walk from Vällingby tube station on the green line.
